The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is a Mass Effect-shaped rocket that could finally propel Owlcat into the RPG mainstream: "We’d been feeling a growing ambition to go bigger"

Holy shit, I didn’t realize that was Owlcat. Looks nothing like their typical work (this is not a denigration, I’ve enjoyed several of their crpgs)

Their Pathfinder WotR game is already “mainstream” level. It was just overshadowed by Baldurs Gate.
I have to disagree. WotR is a great game (finally finished it today for the first time after 180h) but it lacks a lot of things why it is not really mainstream.
It’s extremely text heavy with very little voiced dialogue. The presentation is nowhere on the level of modern mainstream games. The ruleset is much harder to understand compared to BG3, partially because of the complexity, partially because it does not explain it that good. Some gameplay elements like Crusade Mode or puzzles are really inaccessible, I have no idea how to tackle some things of that without a guide.
