[OC] The Ancient Ones

A sculpture in front of the Mesa Verde National Park Visitor Center depicting an ancestral Puebloan climbing a cliff face using hand and toe holds. The sculpture, titled “The Ancient Ones,” was created by Edward J. Fraughton in 2012.

The movement in this is so cool, both in the human figure and the representation of the cliff face. It reminds me a lot of Bird in Space.

Edit: oh, I just zoomed in and saw the petroglyphs at the bottom! What a neat detail to have added.
