I put a ton of hours into this game a year ago. It really is a top notch game of this type. It was fun trying all the combos for achievement hunting.

I played this for a bit last year, while it was still in Early Access, and the vibes this game has are just fantastic. The look and music were just right for my tastes, it's awesome. Gameplay wise, I didn't find it immediately as addicting as Vampire Survivors, but still good, so I wanted to check back again after the 1.0 release, although I haven't so far.
I just played some an hour ago. I've had it for a while and haven't played much. I've only unlocked three characters and two levels.
It's fun. I very much enjoy the sound of skeletons bones clattering when they die.
Movement seems slower than any other survivors game I've played. It's a little too slow for my taste but upgrades and gear do make it faster.
I agree you should go back to it. The aesthetics are fantastic.

I love this game. It’s like vampire survivors and Diablo had a baby and it has enough DNA from both to make fans of either happy.
Big overlap in that "fans of both" thing. Survivor tickles a lot of the same places arpg fans like being tickled.
I love seeing Godot games do well.

HoT really is a very good VS-like game. Enjoyed it a lot and happy to see what new content is being added.

You just described the genre. That's kinda like saying you didn't like WoW because it had lots of other players around
To be fair, the worst part of WoW is usually the other players.
