That's why you experience new things so you can look back at them later also
POV: Your body decided it would get an illness that renders you bedridden unable to speak and functionally deaf at a young age. And all you really have is memories from before. You never really get “new memories”.
On the one hand, I'm nostalgic for the past, but on the other hand, I'm glad I'm not that person anymore.
