Post.

The reason I realised this is a spam account and I decided even to click on his profile to check is that the website TLD is .com and as I actually posted the article talking about this news story on my Offbeat news community,I know as a fact that the outlets who covered this story all are from Australia and has .au TLD.

This 7 days account is just posting links from Townflex website with little side posts to not raise suspicions. And most probably will keep using Not The Onion community to post more spam. For me the thing that make me really bothered is not that I got banned and he did not. Rather, it’s the fact that garbage journalism and clickbait titles will start dominating the fediverse. Because no normal user who post for fun can beat a user who is posting for profit (in terms of how quick he could post the articles, which basically voids posting the same news story from other sources for other users).

The only logical explanation I could find is that the mod there had just banned me based on ideology I hold that he hate.

I just find it pretty wild that he nuked shitload of threads/posts with hundreds of comments to satisfy his ego or because I hold ideas that he doesn’t agree with.

On a side note, I truly think Piefed/ Lemmy will need a posts archive tool.

Deleting posts frequently would discourage users who comment on posts here from participating in the future.

Anyway, I just hope Piefed/Lemmy doesn’t turn up to be Reddit 2 and that the Piefed developer innovate enough to keep this place functioning without the Reddit problems.
